Karl ‘Margy’ Marginson is a 53-year old football coach serving as the Manager of Trafford Football Club.

He has previously been associated with Stalybridge Celtic, Ashton United, Macclesfield, Curzon Ashton, FC United of Manchester and Radcliffe during his career.

Biography

Karl Marginson’s management career is highlighted by a 12-year stint at FC United of Manchester, starting from the club’s inception in 2005. He led FC United from the North West Counties Division 2 to the National League North, securing three league titles and a fourth promotion via playoffs. His tenure at FC United also included two North West Counties League Cup victories and a Manchester Premier Cup win, concluding in October 2017.

Marginson’s football journey began in the Football League with Blackpool, Rotherham, and Macclesfield, followed by a prolonged career in non-league football, playing for clubs like Ashton United, Stalybridge Celtic, and Salford City. He transitioned to management at the age of 35 with FC United.
