Andy Preece


Andy ‘Preecy’ Preece is a 57-year old football coach serving as the Manager of Chorley Football Club since . He has previously been associated with Bury and Worcester City during his career.

He is the holder of a UEFA Pro Licence.

Preece boasts an extensive career in football both as a manager and a player. Over his nearly 25-year managerial career, Preece has taken charge of over 750 games. His managerial journey includes roles at clubs such as Bury, Worcester City, Northwich Victoria, and Airbus UK in Wales. In addition to his impressive management record, Preece also had a notable career as a player, appearing in over 500 professional games. He played as a centre forward for several clubs, including Worcester City, Wrexham, Stockport County, Crystal Palace, Blackpool, Bury, and Carlisle United.

Before becoming a manager, Preece’s playing career included making his senior debut for Blackburn Rovers, where he faced Manchester United in the FA Cup. He also spent two seasons playing for Mansfield Town.

Transitioning into management, Preece spent four years at Chorley as both the assistant manager and Director of Football. In May 2022, he took on the role of manager at Chorley.
