Andy ‘Whingy’ Whing is a 51-year old football coach serving as the Head Coach of Solihull Moors Football Club.

He has previously been associated with Banbury United, Kidderminster Harriers and Hereford during his career.

He is the holder of a UEFA A Licence.

Biography

Appointed as head coach of Solihull Moors, joining from Banbury United where he achieved significant success. At Banbury, he led the team to their first-ever entry into the Vanarama National League North and won the Southern League Central title by a remarkable 23-point margin.

Beginning his playing career at Coventry City with over 100 appearances, Whing also played for Brighton & Hove Albion and several other clubs before retiring in 2015. His coaching career started with Kidderminster Harriers’ under-23s in 2017, followed by a role at Hereford in 2019.

At Solihull Moors, Whing steps into full-time management and is joined by assistant James Quinn, who has been with the club since 2018.
