Alan ‘Dowse’ Dowson is a football coach serving as the First Team Manager of Dartford Football Club.
He has previously been associated with Kingstonian, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Woking during his career.
Biography
Alan Dowson, known as Dowse, took over as manager of Dartford in 2022. Prior to this, he had a notable managerial career, spending seven years at Kingstonian and four years each at Hampton & Richmond Borough and Woking FC.
His tenure at Woking was particularly successful; in his first season there, the team finished second in the National League South. This achievement was capped off by a promotion to the National League after a victory over Welling United in the Promotion Final. Dowse’s appointment brought a wealth of experience and a track record of success to Dartford.
