Jimmy Ball is a football coach serving as the First Team Manager of A. F. C. Totton.

He has previously been associated with Christchurch during his career.

Biography

Jimmy Ball joined AFC Totton as First Team Manager after his stint as Assistant Manager at EFL League Two club Stevenage. His prior experience includes an interim managerial role at Forest Green Rovers, where he led them to the League Two Promotion Play-Off semi-finals. Ball’s early football career involved playing in the youth academies of Exeter City and Southampton, and later at BAT Sports. His coaching career spans roles at Christchurch, Portsmouth, Shelbourne, and academies at Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, culminating in his April 2021 appointment at Forest Green Rovers.

At AFC Totton, Ball has been pivotal in overseeing the club’s football operations and managing the First Team. His leadership in the 2022/23 season led to remarkable achievements, including winning the Southern League Div.1 South, the Champion of Champions Super Cup against Berkhamsted, and securing a win against Sholing at St. Mary’s Stadium. This resulted in a trophy treble and retaining the SDFA Southampton Senior Cup.
