Gary McCann is the first team manager of Billericay Town Football Club, joining on a three-year contract. His appointment aims to help the club advance to the National League South and further. Before joining Billericay, McCann managed Hampton & Richmond Borough in the Vanarama National League South for four years. His tenure there was notable for nearly achieving a playoff spot in the 2019/20 season, affected by the Points-Per-Game calculation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and leading the team to several Emirates FA Cup first-round appearances.
Previously, McCann spent 13 years managing Hendon, establishing himself in North London’s football scene. His long-term management at Hendon demonstrated his capability in team development over extended periods. Now at Billericay, McCann is set to bring his experience and management skills to the club, aiming for progression in league standings and competition performance.
