Calum McIntyre is a 30-year old football coach serving as the First Team Manager of Chester Football Club.

He has previously been associated with Runcorn Linnets during his career.

Biography

Calum McIntyre was appointed Chester FC’s Manager in May 2022, marking the club’s seventh managerial appointment since its reformation. McIntyre, who had been the Academy Head Coach since 2016, played a crucial role in developing several academy graduates and was involved in over 140 first team fixtures in various coaching roles. He also had a brief tenure as Caretaker Manager in 2018, securing a win in the National League.

In June 2020, McIntyre stepped into senior management with Runcorn Linnets in the Northern Premier Division One (West). During his first full season, he led the Linnets to a fourth-place finish and a play-off final. At Chester FC, he guided the team to third in the National League North and to the Play-Off Semi Finals in the 2022/23 season. His achievements included a 21-match unbeaten away run and the best defensive record in the league.

For his successful season, McIntyre was named National League North Manager of the Season for 2022/23. Following these achievements, he extended his contract with Chester FC until 2026.
