He has previously been associated with AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Wealdstone and Stamford AFC during his career.

Biography

Andy Peaks was appointed as Tamworth’s first team manager on February 15, 2022, with the objective of ensuring the team remained in the Southern League Premier Division. He led the team to a 14-game unbeaten run, culminating in a championship victory on the season’s final day. This triumph secured Tamworth’s promotion to the National League North after a five-year absence. Andy’s initial focus was on squad rebuilding to sustain the team’s winning form for the 2022-23 season.

Prior to Tamworth, Andy’s football career spanned roles as a player and a manager. He began at Northampton Town and later played over 200 games for Rushden Town, which became Rushden and Diamonds. His playing career also included time at Raunds Town, Wealdstone, and Stamford. As a coach, he served as an assistant at Long Buckby and Daventry Town, and as head coach at Northampton Spencer. He was also involved with the Diamonds Academy and AFC Rushden and Diamonds, achieving promotions with the latter.

Andy’s managerial tenure is characterized by consistent team progress and multiple promotions. He guided AFC Rushden and Diamonds to UCL promotion in 2015 and to the Southern League Premier Central in the 2018-19 season. His leadership saw the team reach a playoff position in this league before his departure for Tamworth. His effective management and team-building skills were instrumental in Tamworth’s rapid improvement and success.
