Brentwood Town Football Club, nicknamed “The Blues,” is a non-league football club based in Brentwood, Essex.
Established in 1970, they currently compete in the Pitching In Isthmian League North Division, which is part of the eighth tier of English football. The team calls Brentwood Centre Arena their home ground.

History
Brentwood FC, tracing its roots to the 19th century, achieved early prominence by reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals in 1886. The club, known as Brentwood & Warley FC in the 1950s and 1960s, won the Delphian League three times and turned professional in 1965, becoming Brentwood Town FC. In the late 60s, they excelled in the Southern League Premier Division and made a notable FA Cup third-round appearance in 1969/70 before merging with Chelmsford City.
Reformed in 1954 as Manor Athletic, the club underwent several relocations before settling at The Brentwood Centre in 1993, eventually reclaiming its Brentwood Town FC identity in 2004. Success resurfaced with the Essex Senior League title in 2000/01, and a league cup final in 2005/06. The 2006/07 season under Steve Witherspoon and Amin Levitt was a high point, securing a treble and promotion to the Isthmian League Division One North.
In 2014/15, under Adam Flanagan’s leadership, Brentwood Town reached the Isthmian Premier League, marking the highest level achieved by the club. Football legend Jimmy Greaves played for Brentwood in 1975, drawing large crowds. Recently, under Chairman Jez Dickinson’s guidance, the club received Charter Standard recognition from the FA in 2020.
