You don’t have to choose between a good match and a good dog walk.

Across the UK, these forty non-league grounds welcome dogs through the gate — lead on, tail wagging, maybe a scarf round the neck if you’re feeling cute. These are proper football days out, now with added snuffling, sniffing, and the occasional bark at a wayward clearance.
Some clubs keep water bowls by the turnstile. Others offer sausages off the grill, no questions asked. Either way, the welcome’s warm, the rules are simple, and nobody minds if your dog ends up in the match photos.
Just don’t forget the poo bags.
