The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium

The Silverlands

The Silverlands — also known as The Tarmac Silverlands Stadium for sponsorship purposes — is a sports stadium in Buxton, Derbyshire and the home ground of Buxton Football Club.

The stadium has a maximum capacity of 4,000 spectators.

Visitors to the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, especially those in large vehicles, should be cautious with Sat Nav directions to avoid Peveril Road, which is unsuitable for them. Coming from Matlock/Bakewell on the A6, the route involves a 2.1-mile ascent and descent, then taking B5059 at Poole’s Cavern junction. At the Safeway roundabout, take the first exit, turn right onto High Street (A515), and again right at Joe Royle’s shop in Buxton Market. The route then proceeds to Concert Place, Hardwick Square South, and onto Silverlands.

For those arriving from Leek/Macclesfield on the A53, continue straight at the B5059 junction, take the second exit at the roundabout onto The Quadrant (A515), following the same directions from Buxton Market.

From Manchester via the A6, descend into Buxton, turn left at the mini-roundabout onto A6, then take the second exit at Safeway roundabout, following the same directions from High Street.

The stadium has limited disabled parking, and visitors are encouraged to book in advance. All visitors should park considerately, respecting local residents.

Alternative parking includes Market Place Car Park (SK17 6EB), Sylvan Park (SK17 6BY), and Spring Gardens Car Park (SK17 6BY). Additional options are available online. Parking is free after 3pm for High Peak residents and after 6pm for others.
