Thornhill Park

Thornhill Park is a sports stadium in Cambridge, Gloucestershire and the home ground of Slimbridge Association Football Club.

The ground is easily accessible by road, with several clear routes depending on direction of travel. Visitors arriving from the north via the M5 are advised to follow the brown “Slimbridge WWT” tourist signs from Junction 12 onwards, leaving the motorway at Junction 13. From there, drivers turn right onto the A419, then left at the following roundabout onto the A38 towards Bristol and Dursley. After passing through Cambridge, the route continues to a roundabout where a left turn onto the A4135 towards Cam and Dursley leads to Wisloe Road, the first turning on the left, with the ground directly ahead.

For those travelling from the south, the same brown signs guide the way from Junction 15 of the M5. Motorists should exit at Junction 14, turn left onto the B4059, and then right at the T-junction onto the A38 heading north. The road passes through several villages including Stone, Woodford, and Newport before reaching Slimbridge. At the Slimbridge roundabout, turning right onto the A4135 towards Cam and Dursley brings drivers to Wisloe Road, where the entrance to the ground lies just ahead.

Travelling from the east involves either joining the M5 and following the northern route, or taking the A4135 through Dursley and Cam. After crossing bridges over both the railway and the motorway, Wisloe Road appears 200 yards on the right. Rail travellers can use Cam & Dursley station on the Great Western network, with services from Bristol Parkway, Gloucester, and Cheltenham Spa. The ground is approximately 1.4 miles from the station, a 25–30 minute walk via Box Road and the A4135, passing over the railway and motorway bridges before reaching Wisloe Road, where the entrance is visible ahead.
