AFC Fylde is an association football club, based in Wesham, Lancashire. Founded 35 years ago in 1988, the team currently compete in the National League North, the 6th tier of English football.
They play their home matches at Mill Farm, and are nicknamed "The Coasters".
The team's playing kit is manufactured by New Balance.
History
Kirkham & Wesham FC was formed in 1988 by the amalgamation of Kirkham Town FC and Wesham FC and played in the West Lancashire League.
After winning the league seven times in eight seasons, they were accepted into the North West Counties League for the 2007-08 season.
In 2008, the club changed its name to AFC Fylde and went on to win the FA Vase in 2011, and gain promotion to the Conference North in 2014 and the National League in 2017.
In 2019 they won the FA Trophy, becoming the first team in English football history to win both the FA Vase and the FA Trophy.
