Overview

Morpeth Town AFC is an association football club, based in Morpeth. Founded 114 years ago in 1909, the team currently compete in the Northern Premier League, the 7th tier of English football.

They play their home matches at Craik Park, and are nicknamed "The Highwaymen".

The team's playing kit is manufactured by Erreà and is made of 100% polyester.

History

Morpeth Town Football Club was established in 1894, and has since enjoyed a successful history, including winning the Northern League Division Two title in their first season after joining the league in 1994, reaching the FA Cup final qualifying round in 1998-99, winning the Northumberland Senior Cup for the first time since 1886 in 2006/07, and winning the FA Vase in 2015/16.

The club finished second in the Northern League in 2017/18 and won their first NPL East title in 2018/19.

In 2021/22 Craig Lynch was appointed as permanent manager after a successful spell as caretaker.
