Overview

Liversedge Football Club is an association football club, based in Liversedge. Founded 113 years ago in 1910, the team currently compete in the Northern Premier League, the 7th tier of English football.

They play their home matches at Clayborn Ground, and are nicknamed "The Sedge".

The team's playing kit is manufactured by adidas and is made of 60% cotton, 40% polyester.

History

Liversedge Football Club was founded in 1910 and won the Bradford League in 1920/21.

They were a founder member of the West Riding County Amateur League in 1922/23, winning it three times in the first five seasons and again in 1964/65 and 1965/66.

They joined the Yorkshire League in 1972/73 and were promoted to Division One prior to the amalgamation of the Midland and Yorkshire Leagues to form the Northern Counties East League in 1982.

The 2021/22 season is full of potential for The Sedge as they enter a new phase in the Northern Premier League.
