History
Hyde FC, founded in 1885, was a highly ambitious club that wanted to compete with the best sides in the North.
It enjoyed a productive period at the turn of the 20th century, winning four league titles, and returned to the Northern Premier League in 1981-82.
In 2010, Hyde agreed a deal for Manchester City's elite development squad to use Ewen Fields.
In 2011-12, Hyde won the championship and promotion to the national division.
However, the club suffered back-to-back relegations and returned to the NPL.
In 2016, the club secured funding from Tameside Council to lay a FIFA 2* 3G pitch, and in 2017, Hyde gained automatic promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
The 2019/20 season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020/21 season sees the ground returned to its traditional red.
