Guiseley AFC is an association football club, based in Guiseley. Founded 114 years ago in 1909, the team currently compete in the Northern Premier League, the 7th tier of English football.

They play their home matches at Nethermoor Park, and are nicknamed "The Lions".

History

Guiseley AFC is a football club established in 1909 that has gone through many successes and struggles over its long history.

It won the Wharfedale League in 1913 and had a treble of championship wins in the 1930s.

In 1968, it entered the Yorkshire League, and achieved Division Two Championship in 1976.

It won the West Riding County Cup in 1979-80-81 and reached the quarter-finals of the FA Vase in 1981.

In 1989-90, it won the FA Vase and was promoted to the Northern Premier League.

It reached the First Round Proper of the FA Cup for the first time in 1991.

In 1993-94, it won the First Division title and was promoted to the Premier Division.

It won the Unibond League Chairman's Cup in 2006 and the Unibond League in 2009-10.

It was promoted to the Blue Square Bet North in 2010-11 and won the West Riding County Cup.

It reached the play-offs in 2011-12 and was promoted to the Vanarama National League.

It reached the Emirates FA Cup first round in 2017-18 and 2018-19 but was relegated in 2021-22.

Danny Ellis was appointed manager in 2021 and is now entering a new era for the club.
